Power to the women who do. Power to the mothers, the daughters, the sisters, the givers, the nurturers, the growers, the makers, the workers, the players, the teachers, the learners, the lovers, the fighters… Power to the women who do.

I am angry @NHSE_WTE have always been clear: people with a learning disability & autistic individuals delivering Oliver’s Training should be paid Band 5 rates
Yet many charities with contracts to deliver it are paying minimum wage

@FixingEducation Schools should educate, not be a substitute for parenting. Strong families, supportive communities, and better policies—not just more school—are key to raising well-rounded kids.
@CharlotteEDavie@tes Love the idea of summer camps & challenges! But not every family can afford them, and not all kids have access. A balanced school year helps everyone—not just those who can pay. #FairEducation
@tes Long summer breaks can leave pupils ‘dysregulated.’ But maybe the answer is rebalancing term lengths rather than cutting holidays? Longer half-terms could help avoid burnout while keeping summer shorter. #Education#SchoolHolidays
The law of life is constant renewal.
So, let everything flow - air, water, light, thoughts and feelings.
Go beyond everything that is old in this world: old ideas; old concepts; old methods.
Look with new eyes and do things differently based on inner values

Ofsted chief @martyneoliver answered MPs' questions about inspection changes today – here’s what we learned, from the content of the new report cards to a focus on vulnerable pupils and the introduction of annual safeguarding checks

2018…More teachers resigned than any other year prior
2019…A new record # of resignations
2020…That # SURPASSED.
2021…AGAIN
2022…AGAIN
2023…Broke ALL previous records
Questions: What was learned?
Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
The career is simply no longer sustainable
After 29 years in education, I’ve decided to step away for a while. Our roles are demanding enough without the added, often unnecessary, pressure of preparing Ofsted paperwork.
It’s time to rethink how we value and support educators.

@FixingEducation Sadly, I’m just another statistic. I would have celebrated 30 years in July, but I left at Christmas. Ofsted frenzy consumed leadership, leading to excessive paperwork and an unfavourable environment. Education needs less bureaucracy and more creativity, efficiency and heart.
@NoshiA100 🙏🏼 Noshi It was a heartbreaking decision but waiting every Monday for 'The Call' and working incessantly for the Big 'O' took me away from what matters—the children—I couldn't bear it any longer.
