🐰: That's not really the case. There were also seniors like CNBLUE and FTISLAND before us. Whenever I get questions like this rather than calling it a "band boom" I think it’s more about the circumstances. There was the difficult situation with COVID and after it ended people started going to festivals again and enjoying the cultural activities they had been waiting for. That helped relieve stress and I think band music resonated more positively because of that.

🐰: I'm not sure if it's because of us. I think the timing just worked out well. The music the public wanted and our music happened to align at the right timeand we were lucky... There are also so many great bands. I really like Silica Gel and Xdinary Heroes as well. Not just because they're from the same company but because they're the only ones who can deliver that kind of musical quality.

9 years ago, Wonpil & Sungjin did stick together to spent Lunar New Year (note LNY 2017: 28.01, vlive was 30.01)

theres one day off, Youngk went to Norangji Market & ate sashimi, Dowoon spent happy time with his family.
& theres Sungjin n Wonpil lying in dorm with nothing to do, so they went for a drive together to Incheon Eurwangni Beach

thats 1.5 months after Sungjin got his driving license and he just drove around 5 times (mostly with Wonpil, wp also accompanied him test drive)
they rented a car and went to drive, wonpil said the moment they're driving and listening to music with the street lamps felt so nice.

1. At the peak of Ben&Ben’s popularity, they collaborated with DAY6. They respected the band enough to rework one of their most popular songs, Leaves, into a version featuring Young K.

2. OPM bands have covered DAY6 even before, such as Lola Amour.

3. Even newer artists admire DAY6. Maki has cited You Were Beautiful as inspiration for one of his songs.
