Nintendo has responded to recent rumors about generative AI, stating that the company has not been in contact with the Japanese government on the topic.
The company said: “Contrary to recent discussions on the internet, Nintendo has not had any contact with the Japanese government about generative AI.”
Nintendo also made it clear that it will continue to protect its intellectual property, adding: “Whether generative AI is involved or not, we will continue to take necessary actions against infringement of our intellectual property rights.”
