this week in NERD NEWS... ive been working on improving the game's performance. i wrote a test to measure how many rollbacks the game can take (important for online play!)

im trying to squeeze as much as i can into a single frame (16.6ms)
in rollback games, the entire game needs to be able to run about 10 times faster than usual, and it needs to be able to save and load the entire game quickly too. shaving just 0.5ms off a single function's time makes a big difference if e.g 10 rollbacks are happening per frame!
these tests were done on my midrange gaming pc. i hope i can improve the performance to the point that players with weaker computers and laptops can have fun online too... hyohohohoho
