@LankyObserver I agree with you on one fundamental point: tribalism in Zambia must be confronted, wherever it exists.However, I disagree with the conclusion that the voting patterns in Southern, Western and North-Western Provinces can simply be reduced to โplain old tribalism.โ

@LankyObserver Voting patterns are influenced by many factors political history, leadership, development, economic interests, party structures, candidate popularity, historical grievances, campaign effectiveness, and yes, sometimes ethnicity.
