i think it's so interesting when you compare her approach to having powers to clark's because, yet again, all it does is prove how fundamentally incompatible they are at their core

lana and Clark slowly losing their rose colored view of each other and realizing they fundamentally no longer wanted or believed the same things was great to watch I just wish they committed to it and didn’t backtrack in the s8 eps because that kind of ruined the whole thing
