Dear Tom, FANTASTIC! I remember when I visited BERNIE WRIGHTSON one time I saw three different versions of a splash and asked him why he was doing it over and over. He replied, "Because I'm crazy, Nick." An artist is his own worst critic. Best, Nick
@MandrakeTom Dear Tom, Can you really see "Tombstone" too often? It is one of the most accurate reenactments of the gunfight at OK Corral, which actually took place in an alley between the Fly Photo Emporium and the Hardwood House on Freemont Street. Wyatt Earp played Billy Claiborne. Nick
What a pleasure to see my DC limited series "Spanner's Galaxy" on Twitter. TOM MANDRAKE the artist did a bang-up job on the illustrations. It was never a big seller for DC but it does have a cult following. Best, Nick
I'm very pleased by how my story "Curse of the Elephant God" was illustrated by RENO MANIQUIS in The Creeps # 20. Please take a look and send in a comment. Best, Nick
@phantasmasaurus @MandrakeTom @DCComics Dear Tom et al, Wow! how many years has it been? Has it really been 35 years ago that we launched our intergalactic fugitive, Spanner. That was a lot of fun and it's nice to know there are those who remember him. Best, Nick
@PaulKupperberg Fink. I have ALWAYS wanted to write for the tabloids. I doubled over at such stories, accompanied by photos, about "Aliens in the Whitehouse" or a "Woman in Alaska having Big Foot's Baby." However, my daughter, who was a journalist, swore to disown me if I ever did, so I didn't.
@gerryconway@DCComics Dear Gerry, I've always been a fan of DC characters over Marvel and not because I worked at DC. I just think they're more unique. Aquaman is a good example. As an aside, because our names are so similar, I am always being mistaken for Aquaman artist NICK CARDY. Best, Nick
