One day you’ll realize the life you prayed for has already quietly arrived
Not as a miracle that interrupted reality,
but as ordinary mornings,
meaningful work,
shared meals with family,
familiar faces,
evening walks,
abundant joy,
and countless chances to become who God is calling you toward.
The most important truth I've experienced time and time again is that merely the act of glancing towards God realigns the soul. He'll traverse any distance to meet you where you stand. He'll provide beyond your needs & fulfill wishes you've yet to find the words for. Your next step, He'll reveal, and your path, He'll pave. A mere glance, an honest gaze, is all it takes.
A willing spirit, a surrendered heart, a humble posture, and open arms. It's where human efforts fall short that God's graces begin. And the sooner we turn to Him, the sooner we become who we were meant to have been
“It is a time of quiet joy, the sunny morning. When the glittery dew is on the mallow weeds, each leaf holds a jewel which is beautiful if not valuable. This is no time for hurry or for bustle. Thoughts are slow and deep and golden in the morning.”
—John Steinbeck , Tortilla Flat
I have just been arrested by the police in Madrid, Spain.
My phone and passport have been seized but I had a second phone in my pocket so I’m writing this from the back of the police car.
I was at Puerta del Sol for just 5 minutes.
Police told me I cannot have conversations in the public square. I researched the law and spoke with a lawyer and.they are wrong.
Many men with ambition approach God only with agendas - a plan and outcome already in mind
But the soul eventually becomes exhausted. We go to God bc of what we don’t know, what we can’t do on our own, for what we don’t already possess or have the wherewithal to ask for
Sometimes the most potent prayer is simply remaining in His presence long enough for your nervous system to remember that He is God and you are not - that you need Him beyond anything else.
And that's enough
