@oakman18 Catch-up classes are all very well, so long as the kids are willing to put in the effort, and the parents are willing to require their children to do so. Not always the case with today's online learning. Some find it too difficult to wake up for a 9am start and parents do nothing
@dawson13_karen I've only just seen this on twitter but have been reading the thread on GN. I am totally against your being banned. It is downright cruel and mean minded. I believe GN is in some way affiliated with AgeUK, but that is probably just a tax dodge.
Having missed my covid vaccination due to breaking my hip on the vaccine day, we have just rang surgery to rearrange my appointment. They have run out of vaccine, and I have to wait a week. Sigh.
@IamHappyToast What a daft thing to say. The "bit of cloth" is the Union Jack (to me, still). It belongs to, and speaks for, the whole nation not just the government. Lowering it to half mast has always been a sign of our sadness.
@glassortwo Slogging on thanks Andrea. Think it's going to take it's time. Got to go surgery have stitches out today. It's all a bit depressing but I am so lucky having these kids of mine. Hope you and yours ok. Love to you. xx
@lynzi_lynz We seem to be lucky in our family. My 15 year old grandson is going great guns with his online schoolwork, has a great relationship with Mum and Dad, and girlfriend (s) (online) goes for long walk everyday with Mum, and is happy. Thanks great teachers.
