@sanguinearkanum @ItsToriGalvin @FromValhallaX It also helps keep competition alive between game stores, has an easier time on people's budgets due to sales on said physical games and also ensures you can continue playing said games years after the digital storefront goes down if you have a physical copy (see the 3ds & ps3)

Regarding the topic of removing physical game format. It's what we like to call preservation of games. Having a physical copy of a game is a safeguard in most instances to players and the consumers. Not all buys physical, but neither do all buy digital.
