when i say our names together it reminds me that not all great poetry has to rhyme

maybe her love for screaming her poetry is back or perhaps she simply doesn’t know how to make a humble appearance

i write poetry but only in the language of synchronized exhales after we’ve had our millionth “hardest day of our lives”.

“hello”,

i whisper to my heart so that only she can hear

“it’s nice to hear you again”

i heard a voice inside of me & she told me that i deserve to feel like myself again

i haven’t felt this safe in my body in a long time-

June is coming & it makes me want to write again.

apogizing late at night
because we are too dizzy
we are too empty
the breaths in between “I’m sorry” sound like a small bird’s chirps

i really hate that fucking noise

i want to write a letter to every heart i have ever hurt

but i am afraid that the one to yours will make me ache worst of them all

i don’t miss a lot of things but i get pretty sad knowing we can’t lie down and laugh together for a little while

i don’t know who i saw in the mirror today but i think at some point in my life i really loved her
