Los medios japoneses están informando que el maestro Masami Kurumada, creador de Saint Seiya, está demandando a su exgerente de contabilidad y a otras personas ante el Tribunal de Distrito de Tokio, alegando daños por aproximadamente 4.600 millones de yenes (unos 28,7 millones de dólares) debido a transferencias no autorizadas.
Según el documento de la demanda y otras fuentes, se afirma que, durante un período de unos 6 años a partir de 2018, el exgerente de contabilidad y sus cómplices realizaron transferencias no autorizadas desde las cuentas bancarias de la empresa y malversaron el dinero de las licencias (regalías).

Kurumada dijo: "Siento una impotencia y una tristeza inevitables al ver que existen personas que, por puro egoísmo e interés personal, son capaces de traicionar sin escrúpulos a quienes confiaban en ellos".

Kurumada exige a estos hombres una indemnización de más de 2.800 millones de yenes, monto que excluye los 1.800 millones de yenes que ya le han sido devueltos (reembolsados).
