我觉得他说的这些，at its best 只能证明中国目前对于中文的使用习惯有模糊性和意指不精确的特点。要否定一个语言本身，需要去论证它在语法上本来就做不到/难以做，也就是标准用法（好的日常中文）就不适合做完整清晰表达。他其实完全没有触碰这一点。所以他要说的东西其实不成立。

他自己都提到了，英文可以用被动句完全省略主语（X are xxx‘ed）。实际上中文里面这种主语省略的情况在语法上不可能达到。但是他同时又说中译英的译者一直在补主语，这听起来就是矛盾的。而他给出的证据是中国的官方语言喜欢用“有关部门”这样的词来模糊化主体，这其实根本不是语言的语法范畴的问题。
