Practising an 8 legged walk cycle with the spider from Sprite Fright.

The feet and torso were not world aligned......so I fixed that.

@pierrick_picaut Keep being you man.

hey mastodonverse!, here is a video I released a couple of weeks ago about this set of tools for animation in blender that the lovely peeps at PatazAnimation are developing:

Wait what!?
Has #bcon22 been and gone already?

Why didn't anybody mention anything?

@jamesneale Works for me - but it puts it in a folder called 'sounds'.

@OTrealms I built animation nodes with python 3.10 and replicated it with a loop function.
Sometimes progress isn't always forward.

[Wayne Dixon ( @[email protected] ) @moonstringanim]

Hey #blender Twitter,
Does anyone know how to replicate Dupliframes in the current version of #b3d ?
Here's an example of a timing chart I made pre 2.8
It basically instances an object on every frame of the animation with realtime updates.

Can Geo Nodes do this?

[Wayne Dixon ( @[email protected] ) @moonstringanim]

Tried Onion Skinning but doesn't auto refresh.

Here is a test with Animation Nodes (best solution so far)

Wasn't straight forward as I had to compile Animation Nodes for python 3.10 myself as the latest version doesn't work with the current #b3d version

[Wayne Dixon ( @[email protected] ) @moonstringanim]

@Sad_Lux Hmm i wonder if i can hack that to do what i need.
Or i need to figure our how to build animation nodes for python 3.10
It used to be a click of a button :(

[Wayne Dixon ( @[email protected] ) @moonstringanim]

@nobody__137 Not motion paths, no.
Dupliframes could create an instance on every frame and update in real-time.

[Wayne Dixon ( @[email protected] ) @moonstringanim]

@Sad_Lux Nah motion paths are different. I'm talking about creating instances of an object based on every frame of animation.
It's more like onion skinning - but dupliframes

[Wayne Dixon ( @[email protected] ) @moonstringanim]

@ToshiCG Yeah. At Fuzz we used Dropbox for many years. Then Nate bought a NAS box (Synology) and we worked the same way as DB.
This year we are using instances on AWS and it's a pain in my butt. Doesn't work well with multi country users.

@Sad_Lux @pierrick_picaut -check the graph editor, it's possible you have keys on sub frames.
-maybe you have drivers/constraints that are muted
-check any action constraints
-also if you have drivers, autokeying can add keyframes to that curve too even when it shouldn't
