@drewlevin I think the heavy surrender culture pits teammates against each other too early/visibly, and causes conflict that permanently makes people not want to work with one another for the rest of the game. Imo, this would need to be reduced in some way before VC could be really good
The FTC just banned non-compete agreements for American workers
The rule goes into effect after 120 days, but lawsuits are expected that could delay it
@nomanswharf i've come to accept developers being shitheads when it comes to monetization, but now that the engines are jumping aboard im ready for the ice age of video gaming to take place
@unknownentity54@dickscrumptious@AdamQJSmith@TheOmniLiberal after the bombs AND the soviet declaration of war, i go a little crazy seeing people act like the surrender terms Japan proposed were a serious surrender/peace negotiating proposal, Japan basically said "we dont lose anything but we stop fighting" lmao
@chubeeeman @ConspiracyBull1 The japanese proposed terms of surrender, which many point to as evidence prior to the bombs being dropped and more intense soviet involvement would have not have involved any reasonable concessions given Japan were both the aggressors and at a severe disadvantage at that point
@chubeeeman @ConspiracyBull1 All historical context does not point to that, hence the constant debate of the subject xd. Togo clearly states in messages to the Soviets the plan was to fight to the end if the British or Americans wanted the Japanese to unconditionally surrender.
@chubeeeman @ConspiracyBull1 Japan was not already surrendering. AFTER 2 nukes and a soviet invasion half of the big six still didnt want to surrender and when the emperor ordered them to and broke the tie,a coup to overthrow the literal DEITY FIGUREHEAD OF THEIR GOVERNMENT happened
Well the Overwatch League looks about done for so it's time for The Horsemen to trot through the rubble. @MonteCristo@Thorin and I will welcome a special guest who is untethered from the Overwatch world and free to speak unheard truths. We ride at 500 retweets.
@DrLupo@Qwik@battlenet 1 possibility: there is sometimes a set size in databases for how long certain properties are and usually you can't just make a size larger without writing migrations to copy all the old data over into the new format and for a company the size of blizzard that = a lot of data.
