It would be refreshing if journalists started using actual facts instead of just chasing headlines. I know the media loves to focus on who lost what, but let us be honest for a moment.

If I were a PM facing a media that seems determined to bury me, these figures would look rather good, wouldn't they?

The reality is clear: Labour still holds a commanding lead with 5,063 seats, over 1,300 more than the nearest rival.

More importantly, the moment Keir Starmer pledged to stay, the pound and UK bonds grew stronger.

The markets have spoken, and they chose stability over the chaos of another leadership vacuum.

Perhaps it is time the narratives started matching the data.
