The Ministry of Public Service launched and disseminated the State of Human Resource Report 2025 in the Public Service at NRCA. The launch brought together key stakeholders from MDAs. The report was launched by the US/Mr Irumba Rodger Kaija, who represented the PS.
The Ministry of Public Service convened a Project Management Team meeting to advance the establishment of the Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to review progress on the cost appraisal and site meeting proposals led by MOWT.
The Records & Information Management Dep't received students from Kampala School of Health Sciences who were conducting an educational visit to the NRCA. The visit was intended to expose students to practical applications of their class work and interact with professionals.
The Civil Service College Uganda, in partnership with the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI), organised a three-day capacity-building workshop for key resource persons from the respective MDAs, from 18th to 20th May 2026, at NRCA.
The Permanent Secretary, Mrs Catherine B. Musingwiire, chaired a SMT at the Ministry, during which the team deliberated on various issues, including budget gaps, pending procurement issues, operationalization and critical resources required to support the RSUCs.
A three-day joint retreat for the Research Committee and SMT was organised to discuss the development of the Socioeconomic Research Agenda (SERA) and the MOPS Institutional Research Agenda (MoPS-IRA) at NRCA.
The Ministry of Public Service has organised a specialised certification course in Pension Fund Design, Governance and Management for 50 selected officers drawn from various MDAs and District Local Governments. The training was conducted from 11th to 15th May 2026 .

The Minister of Public Service, Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa, has inaugurated the Interim Board of Trustees for the Public Service Pension Fund, marking another key milestone in the operationalisation of the Fund.
The Department of Management Services held a validation meeting with senior technical officers from various service delivery areas under the Ministry of Internal Affairs to review and validate the compendium of documented processes for the Ministry.
The proposed pay structure indicated that a headteacher at a government primary school will earn Ugx. 1.5 million a month up from Ugx. 980,000, while a deputy headteacher will have will have their salaries enhanced from Ugx. 773,000 to Ugx. 1.3 million. #GCICMediaReview
The M/PS, Hon. Wilson Muruli Mukasa, officiated at the closure of the orientation for H/HRM from Local Governments and District/City Service Commissions at NALI. He challenged attendees to apply their new skills to spearhead transformation and improve performance in the Service.
The 4th Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre site meeting and inspection was held to assess progress on the renovation works at Posta Uganda, which will host the Kampala Regional Service Uganda Centre.
The Undersecretary, Ministry of Public Service, Mr Irumba Rodgers Kaija, chaired the weekly Senior Management Meeting, during which various matters were presented and discussed, including the status of Service Uganda centres, Africa Public Service Day (APSD), etc.
