Freaking Monster-mania Con ON Halloween weekend! It doesn’t get better than that! This guest roster is amazing as always and Lin Shaye is the nicest, most fan-friendly genre star you’ll ever meet! Take the drive and have a blast!
@G00FYDUP J.D. here's a nice summation of where I stand as expressed by some other guy I don't know :) Again, I thought it had promise written all over it, but as a fan of the I.P., it was hard to see the legendary Hal and Jon batted around like cat toys.

I was so pulling for this show and then it completely molested the Lantern lore. Yes, creative departures are fine and even welcome, but it really seemed as if the writers despised the source material. BTW, the two leads are great and I would love to see them in a Lantern show.
@ChrisRo18951917 Chris, there is a lot I liked about it, especially the two leads! Terrific! I would have loved to have seen the Lanterns depicted as the heroes that they are - including Hal and Jon - before we deconstruct them. Does that make sense?
I wanted it to be good and was onboard at the beginning. Many of the reviewers I check out - some hardcore Lanterns fans - just feel it was a swing and a miss when there was so much in place that could have made it great!
@mor100 The people who like Lanterns are “media literal.” People were told this show would be “True Detective” with Green Lanterns. So many viewers just accepted that literally, they can’t wrap their minds around the show not living up to the pitch. The normies loved this show. Nuff said
@mor100 I used to buy comics because I loved the characters. Hal Jordan and John Stewart were heroes, men of honor and bravery. This show just made them into unlikable assholes with questionable moral character.
I know there is blowback from some quarters against this sentiment, but I completely agree with Lucas. Is it a great movie? No, but it tried and was entertaining. You, as proven by recent history, could do a lot worse.
I watched this when it originally aired. You could almost here the collective "holy shit!" echoing through the neighborhood. A great and often under appreciated series.
This is such an iconic moment in Magnum, P.I. because these two episodes kicked off Season 3 and were such an eye-opener. In the first two seasons, Thomas is a Vietnam vet barely scraping by, but he's lighthearted and carefree. You know that he, T.C., and Rick saw some shit over in 'Nam, but now they're living the good life in Hawaii. But this moment... this is the moment everyone realizes Thomas can be cold as ice and isn't to be fucked with. Ivan had every bit of it coming, and Thomas didn't even blink when he gave it to him.
THE PRESTON AND STEVE SHOW HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE BATES MOTEL FOR DECADES! I freaking love it!
