Rowan class had a fantastic day of Science, Art and Writing yesterday thanks to the @SAWTrust . Lots of fun learning about plants and learning to use microscopes; writing some incredible poetry and producing some amazing artwork.
Oak and Pine classes went to visit St. Botolph's church in Morley on Monday afternoon. Oak class learnt all about Holy Communion and Pine class did some sketching of the church. Whilst we were there we even helped to polish the collection plate!
Pine class painted the tiger from ‘The Tiger that came to tea’ after their visit to the theatre on Friday. They used the end of a brush to make marks to add texture 🐅

Pine class looked at the amazing work of Philomena Williamson and re-created one of her pictures in their own style…. we have some very talented artists in the early years!
What a lovely Summer fair today at Morley with so much to see and do: face painting, henna, hair glitter, bubbles, bouncy castles, tombolas, cake, hook a duck and lots more! Thanks to the FOMPS who put in so much work to raise money for our wonderful school.
Oak class having been learning all about habitats. This afternoon they took to the woods to end the unit with bark rubbings and drawing some of the animals they have been studying…
Gardening club at Morley has come to an end.. we’re hoping to apply for the RHS school gardening award level 3. Lots was learnt about propagation and the children planted sunflowers, cornflowers, cosmos and much more 🌺🌸🌻🌻
