In some places you need to pay an annual registration for a paddleboard & cant even put up a 30 cm inflatable pool for the kids in summer without buying a building permit first.

My dad was a crim & learnt law the hard way.
No internet then, I was assigned mostly to library research.
That was my intro to big league cases.
Free drinks at their clubs ever since. 🥃

we'd drive into town & she had time to kill before work, cafe, coffee, read the paper.
I had 90 min after work until she knocked off & spent it in the courthouse as a spectator.
Much better entertainment than movies.
I loved it!
