Youtube now gives every creator the opportunity to test 3 titles or 3 thumbnails (or both) and I highly suggest you do it if you're using YouTube
(But don't test title and thumbnail together because you will find it much harder to determine if it was the TITLE or THUMBNAIL that caused the uplift or downturn.)
Sometimes I will test the crop in (zoom), the colours, the creative, the text.
Even if I am sure I have the thumbnail nailed, I'll do several more variations just to be sure.
We then created the dark version to see if that would work better, it didn't.
Most of you aren't creators, so why tell you this?
In this game what you think is irrelevant, it's about what the data says and not being attached to what you believe.
Youtube made me a MUCH better business owner.
Because the way I see titles is how I see how I name my next book.
How I test thumbnails is how I test design on a website.
What makes you good on YouTube makes you good at life.
When someone creates a great video, do you know what I ask them to do?
"Keep doing this, in a few years things will take off and everyone will wonder how you did it."
How you excel in one realm is transferable to others.
What training split gave you the best progression in 'gains' for the least soreness and most enjoyability? Each person is to be their own scientist over time.
Even women need to understand the impact of their cycle on their training.
No textbook can tell you how you feel or how you're going to perform. There's a Japanese word "kaizen" that I love and it translates to "change for the better."
It focuses on making small, incremental, and consistent improvements to daily processes, personal habits, or business operations to achieve significant, positive results over time.
Little things, long time, big change. Something to consider today, be more kaizen.

The future looks conservative.
The assumption that birth rates are falling across society in general is not really true.
People who identify as conservative are having almost as many children as they were decades ago.
The decline is overwhelmingly among those on the progressive left.
Here is one of the very rare pictures of me personal training.
Back in my day it wasn't very cool to record yourself. People think that coaching people, helping businesses go online and even selling a beverage brand are 3 different things, they're not.
As a coach I had one job, to see where someone was, to understand their goal and to seek the next progression from there.
When I had those 3 things, that's actually all I needed. If someone can squat 20kg, the next progression isn't 100kg, even if that's their goal, it's 22.5kg.
If someone's social media following is 800, I don't say "right let's get to 10,000."
I would say let's aim for 810. If our rate of sale for Neutonic in Sainsbury's is 20,000 a week, let's aim for 21,000 For each and every goal, irrespective of where you are, find those 3 things.
Where you're at Where you want to be What's the next step? The ONLY time you need a coach is if you're not fully clear on where the next step is.
If you know it, don't hire me, do it yourself and maybe set a more sensible goal. The person who wants to lose 10kg of fat will have a much happier time losing 1kg, 10x times over.
That's 10 wins on the way to the same goal, vs one.
This is known as 'progressive overload', and I disagree that it's a fitness term. It's how you win at everything.

BREAKING: UK Police release bodycam footage of Henry Nowak’s arrest and m*rder
You can see Henry struggle to breathe as he tries to tell the officers he was stabbed. They dismiss his pleas, cuff him, then read him his rights as he's dying in front of them.
These officers belong in prison!
When we see people in good shape, we just assume they're genetically gifted.
When we see people with money, we like to think they inherited it.
When we see people good at things, we seem to think they're "athletic" by nature, not so much the hard work that comes before it.
In some cases there's an element of luck, even what month you're born influences your likeliness to be in a professional sports team. (Outliars - great book).
What I like to remind people is that between 2014 and 2017 almost nothing happened for me "online".
It took me 3 years to hit 5k, that's 1000 days.
So I grew 5 new followers a day.
I posted every day. 😂
Some days +7, other days -2.
I literally ate sh*t for 3 years, then suddenly I was a "overnight" success.
I love to remind people, if you met me July 2015, March 2016 or even October 2016. You'd have thought I was mental. haha.
I would get a PT cancellation, drive over to Waitrose and write an article about the potato vs sweet potato.
If I could attribute anything I have done in life it's to this one rule.
Fall in love with the process, not the outcome.
Because the man who likes to walk, will walk further than the man who likes the destination.
Once you love every component of what you do, suddenly it's effortless.
My Dad always said to me "work a job you love, never work a day in your life."
NOW SOME DAYS FEEL LIKE WORK. don't get me wrong.
I work with a lot of small business owners on a day to day basis.
If you only knew how often I told them.
"You're doing great, I just need you to keep doing great for another 3 to 6 months and expect nothing for it."
that's how you win in any game.
socials training business life
It's all the same.
Getting someone to lose weight and getting someone to grow their business, it's not that much different.
Sounds mad, but the most motivational quote I could give most people is.
"keep going."
That's what I told myself in 2014, 2015, 2016.
Then I started winning, and that's the point you never need motivation again.
Once you start winning at whatever you're doing, there's no need for motivation.
You're only feeling unmotivated because it's not working... yet.

There's a common tendency to see the world as getting worse.
Every generation has looked back at time gone by and the "good old years." It's normal to feel like the best years are behind us and that the future is all doom and gloom.
However, when Rome fell, they thought it was the end.
When the Bubonic plague set about Europe, they thought it was the end.
I mean, think of the poor people who endured World War I. They probably thought "thank god nothing like that will ever have to happen again."
20 years later, World War II.
So it's a common thing to feel like the world is getting worse, never better.
There are so many statistics to say the world's getting better.
From infant death rates to the amount of people taken out of poverty.
When I see prats say "I don't want to bring children into this world, that's why I'm not having kids."
I actually don't mind it.
It's a course correction for prats.
All the 'just stop oil protesters' and people not having kids to save the planet (which I think is largely cope) will not reproduce, so their won't be offspring to spread the ideology to.
The rest of us which sit in the "she'll be right mate."
If the world is going to end, we may as well pretend it's not until the very end. I always look for a reason to be an optimist.
That was until, yesterday.
I came across this abomination.
In Red, what Ferrari is all about. In Blue, what signals to me, the end is nigh.
I haven't felt this deflated about human progress since the Concorde was discontinued.
I take back everything, the world's cooked, someone in Ferrari signed that off.
I can't believe it. Who is making these decisions?
Yeah what a terrible start to the day.
The only decision worse than the design lead from Ferrari would be starting your day without Neutonic.

It remains an odd human characteristic that some people would prefer to unnecessarily throw money away & dislocate their lives all to cut their tax obligations by a few dollars.
And Australia should not be worried, for everyone leaving, there is a queue of thousands wanting to live here
BREAKING: We've just introduced legislation to deliver more tax cuts to Australian workers.
Labor's five different tax cuts will benefit the average worker by up to $2816.
This Budget makes the tax system fairer for workers, businesses and first homebuyers.
It's a valid worry to care about the purity and safety of peptides, especially when most of them are made in China without any due diligence required for safety.
However I do strike myself with a double standard here.
I worry about the peptide safety, yet I've snorted copious amounts of cocaine bought off strangers for the past 2 decades without a worry in the world.
Welcome to the 30's optimisation club. 🤣
I started posting in 2014.
Everyone thinks I must have had nice steady growth to hit 1.4 million.
I SCREAMSHOTTED THIS IN 2017 BECAUSE I HAD MADE IT.
40k. 🤣
Now, here's the reality, barely anything for years.
I spent 3 years posting EVERY DAY to hit 3,000 followers.
If you had met me in 2014, 2015, or even 2016.
I was just a delusional personal trainer ranting into his phone between clients.
2018, 2019 or 2020 you would have said I was smart or clever.
But I was the exact same person before and after.
It's easier when it starts working, because you see it work.
Do you know how many days I had in 2014, 2015 and 2016 where I'd post and lose followers?
I'd schedule 3 posts and wake up with -2 followers.
There is no certainty in this game.
Just the thought in your head that when you feel like giving up.
That's when most people do give up.
I ate shit for years before I started to break through.
My question for you, why are you so special you don't have to do the same?
The flatline part people thought I was mental, the bit where it rises aggressively for the next 7 years is when they ask how you did it.
I point them to the flat line bit, but that's not the answer they want to hear.
So you let athletes blast steroids in the Enhanced Games and barely any world records are broken.
That shows you how much they’re blasting in the Olympics and getting away with it. 🤣
