@AflLadder So how does the solution of random double ups fit with commercial realities about derbies, showdowns and double ups for bigger Victorian teams? The argument about a 1/6 vs 2.1/6 difference is overblown in my opinion.
@EagleHuey@dan_const Contracted players are still tradeable if they present value and want to move, the return should be higher than if uncontacted (all other things being equal).
Sydney has signed former Allies and Box Hill VFLW player Emma Juneja for the upcoming season.
@emrosepatterson shares the details: https://t.co/5Q3JMEifI9
@reddwarf40@3032fc Australia talked up their young side and apart from Hrustic, Behich and Ryan the other unused options werenโt a lot older anyway. Compared to 2005 when we had veterans taking every kick vs Uruguay.
@johnnycieo@3032fc Circati was next so would have been all 3 and Irvine would be considered more like a centre half than a ball player. Like most things in sport it mostly the mental aspect of penalties that is the most important - ie Jedinak and Muscat in years past rather than position.
@Souvla_ I think the pass mark has to consider whether our group contains a minnow or not as well as our pot in the draw (Pot 3 would be much tougher) and a few other factors such as the actual knockout game/s performance.
@AnthColangelo And were outpossessed and outshot 30-9 in that opening game against a team ranked similar to us who couldnโt hit a barn door in their opening 2 games, albeit we defended well and took our chances in that one.
@FreddyHayekonOz@MichaelLynchy Yes sack a coach who doesnโt do well or loses the dressing room but replace one attacking coach with another and another and another (etc).
@FreddyHayekonOz@MichaelLynchy Not wanting to join speculation over Popovicโs job. My point would be that in international football the manager you hire can either be Australian or non Australian but the key is to pick attacking coaches and keep picking them forever regardless of short term results.
