I successfully defended my dissertation on Monday 4/8 🥰 so grateful to my advisor @FancyAcademic (who is no longer really on twitter but who I still want to shout out), my committee, and fiancé, my family and friends ❤️

@k_rashkovsky Hey! I’m a counseling psych doc candidate- have you considered a counseling psych PhDs? I ask because your research interests sounds like there’s great overlap in both counseling and clinical psych ☺️
This is often the “do it scared” part of my life! Perfect combination of weak teeth and a painful/scary filling experience as a child has me frequently white knuckling it in the dentist office! But I’ve gotta keep going back (I have an appointment for another filling tomorrow)
This is a gentle nudge to see your dentist because if you don’t see your dentist, the problems you’re afraid that you have will get worse and more expensive.
For those applying to clinical internship - I’ve put together a Google Drive that includes my essays, sample cover letters, hours in time2track, questions I was asked, and info I gave to letter writers. I’ve also included a tracking file. Happy to share just reach out!
science like this changed my life! In early college, I decided to always prioritize sleep over late-night studying or all-nighters. Helped me get better at time management by setting aside regular, intentional time to study, AND led to better retention (and all-around health!)
@FromPhDtoLife Rock climbing actually reminded me that I need to rest (literally find a way to rest against the wall 20 feet up when I’m rope climbing) in order to do harder work!!! I can’t brute force my way to the top. Also that having someone to celebrate with is important (my belayer 😉)
Hello! For my dissertation research, I am conducting a study to better understand how fathers of adolescent sons talk with their sons about sexual and dating violence. Potential participants can follow the QR code in this image, or follow this link (https://t.co/W1mlBbIPDo)
Many of us know the mental & emotional toll of the financial burden of being a PhD student. To have costly medical treatments on top of the cost of living makes financial freedom nearly impossible. Please consider donating to Aurora to support her as she undergoes cancer tx.
I feel a lot of pride that I worked with some students in academic coaching work for all 4 years of their college experience at Lehigh- one such student is in graduate school now 🥹
Just finished the last of my work as the learning and study skills assistant at Lehigh’s Center for Academic Success after 5 years (!!) on this graduate assistantship! I learned so much about how to work effectively and will miss working with undergrads in this role ❤️
Although I’m so excited for internship starting this summer, I’ll definitely miss the excitement and satisfaction of helping students set up a time management or study system that works for them!
I am SO excited to share that our new paper "Men in Feminism: A Self-Determination Approach and Goals for the Future" was just accepted for publication at Psychology of Men and Masculinities. Fun, inspiring process with @ceamoser and @sw13ley -- can't wait to share with you all!
