2019 has been a pretty darn good year. I have made many friends, several new projects, and plenty of plans for the future. I hope 2020 is even better.

Those fangirl feels when the video you are watching pops up with one of your own drawings... 🥰
Check out @safiyajn ! She has some of the best editing out there!
I don't even get a name @sharper_brain?
I don't mind that my image was used for your article. That's just something you have to expect when you post content on the web... but is it really so much to ask for a link to my Instagram where you took this from?

My shelves of fabric were in dire need of a good straightening, and I thought that this was a good opportunity to ask myself "Does this spark Joy?"
(The answer is YES. All the fabric sparks joy!! But some have maybe a little less spark than others.)

Have you found yourself invited to a 1920s themed party but don't have a thing to wear? Set aside an afternoon and try making it!

Fingerloop braiding makes the prettiest and strongest cord! My favorite pattern in particular is from a mid-fifteenth century manuscript.
I just posted an excessively long video about how I made it for those of you that might want to try it out ❤️

@loneyoperaghost Absolutely!!! Sometimes I will carefully measure everything and draw out a cutting diagram (Alcega style) on paper, or I'll make a full working mockup just to physically practice putting the dress together. Sometimes having a friend help you cut works too!
Learn how I drape a 4-panel medieval dress pattern! This is a companion/follow-up video to the DRAFTING video last month, since sometimes it's nice to know different approaches to the same task!

Based on the 14th-century brass effigies, particularly the beautiful heraldic ones, I have sewn a colorful gown! This is an extra long video, hope you enjoy!

My sewing space! I was getting tired of digging through drawers to find my scissors or pliers, so my darling Mr installed a pegboard for me! I've been using it for about 2 years now, and recommended the same for anyone with a making space!

#Red is the theme of the day for #fallforcostume !
I have a ton of red historical and modern dresses, but here's my newest one! Although I suppose it's only half red!
I am trudging along on the video editing front, really hoping to post this one soon!
