@StevenFulop One thing I hear from people who are disillusioned with the Democratic party is that they're tired of a defeatist mindset.
You may be right, but if you truly believe it, people would rather see this presented as a call to action. Give them a rallying cry, not an "I told you so."
@umichvoter Hightstown is a tiny piece of Mercer, but has been out in force. Republicans haven't run a candidate in 5 years, but they stumbled in picking an extremely controversial one.
Local Dems got up & rallied. Been out every night canvassing for the past week.

Today, Hightstown's Democratic Committee exposed a pattern of controversial statements from Borough Council candidate, Zack Geltzeiler, and urged him to remove himself from the race.

Trump's administration is attacking the Gateway Tunnel. Our next governor needs to fight for those tens of thousands of good union jobs and relief for our commuters.
@jack4NJ can't even comment because he's for Trump, not Jersey. Pathetic.
@wildstein@NJTRANSIT It's fair to say it wasn't a "great year," but they can and should still celebrate the times when progress was made. We can't be cynical 24/7.
We just won our Senate race! As a son of immigrants, a public school kid, I never could’ve imagined I’d get to serve as a US Senator. I’m deeply humbled and grateful to NJ and for everyone who got us here. I promise I’ll serve with honor and integrity as a public servant for all.
Earlier today, I told Assembly leadership that I will not support A4045, which makes significant changes to New Jersey’s open public records act. Out of respect for my caucus colleagues, I normally don’t publicly announce my “no” votes ahead of time. But this is too important.

BREAKING: New Jersey Attorney General views county organization lines as unconstitutional, and the state won't defend it in court.

At a recent meeting, members of the Hightstown Democratic Club unanimously voted to endorse Congressman Andy Kim in his upcoming Senate election. We urge you to vote in the June 4th primary election, and to join us in supporting Andy Kim. (1/4)
@CGRenna@SusanKLivio Aren't they getting a NJ Transit line through Gloucester Country, though? This is huge for helping ensure that happens, which would be a major boon to the region.
Short parable on the need for local journalism: My wife and I live in a small town (~25,000 people) in Middlesex County, NJ, where we recently had a referendum on whether or not to increase the fire department budget by about 60% (🧵 continues)
Kim supporters clearly saw this as an attempt to neuter the line in the counties where he can actually win it democratically, allowing Murphy to continue taking advantage of it in counties where the line is really awarded by a few people at most.
Big deal: Dem Sen. Troy Singleton says the county line should be abolished, says he would support legislation that would establish block ballots in the state (such legislation is being sponsored by Dem Sen. Shirley Turner).
Hurts to see my hometown taken over by this angry mob. Old Bridge is a complicated town, and I'm glad I moved on. But it's still hard to watch, knowing how it affects many good families stuck there in the minority.
Culture wars fully erupted at the Old Bridge Board of Education meeting after a group brought in an outspoken North Carolina pastor to help preach their views against Policy 5756 — NJ’s recommended transgender student guidance for school districts. https://t.co/tbXObNx3wT
