"Father, make of me a crisis man. Bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road; make me a fork, that men must turn one way or another on facing Christ in me." —Jim Elliot
Carolyn Fountain was elected the 25th president of WMU, SBC on June 7 in Orlando. A faithful servant and missions advocate, she and her husband, Leroy, help churches in Northwest Louisiana strengthen their missions engagement, and she tutors women pursuing their HiSet (GED).
1,077 salvations as churches across Florida and volunteers across the country came together for Crossover to serve communities around Orlando and share the hope we have in Jesus! Incredible!!!
Thank you to so many of you who were praying!
#JesusChangesEverything
63 new missionaries were celebrated today at #SBC26.
The gospel changed their lives. Now they’re going so others can hear.
They don’t go alone. Their churches send them. Southern Baptists support them.
🙏 Join us in praying for these newly appointed missionaries as they prepare to go.
A regular reminder to me and my friends: Let us not pit the Jude 3 "contend for the faith" against the Ephesians 4:3 "keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." We can contend without being contentious. Let our witness be that we are a people of grace and truth.
HEARTBREAKING: Her 10-month-old baby was cut in half with a knife in front of her, her husband shot dead, and she watched them split her second child's skull with a machete. They also cut off one of her hands.
This is life for Christians in Nigeria. The media remains silent.
As I leave Southeast Asia after gathering with nearly 800 believers from 59 countries, I’m looking ahead to #SBC2026 in Orlando.
I wrote this piece because I love the Church, love the Word, and I love God’s daughters.
May it serve the Church well.

Today, an entire Christian family was buried in Nigeria.
A father. A mother. Their children.
Murdered for their faith in Jesus Christ by Fulani Muslim terrorists.
The world may ignore it —
but Heaven will not forget.
Pray for the persecuted Church. #PrayForNigeria@ezekieldachomo0
This Fulani ex-Muslim has been quietly winning souls for Christ in the North. He operates a secure refuge for ex-Muslims, keeping its location hidden for their safety. Christianity will reach every corner of the North, and the Fulani will lead that mission.
This is Ashur Sarnaya.
In September 2025, he was stabbed to death in Lyon, France.
He was an Iraqi Christian.
He had fled persecution in the Middle East.
Wheelchair-bound.
Faithful.
He shared prayers and Christian messages online, speaking openly about Jesus.
He had received threats.
He did not stop.
One evening, as he returned home, a man attacked him.
He was killed for his faith.
A quiet voice.
A small apartment livestream.
A public witness.
And now, a martyr remembered.
As airstrikes on #Iran begin, local Christians ask for urgent prayer.
“As an Iranian and as a Christian, I speak with a heavy heart,” shares a local Open Doors partner. "I do not take lightly the suffering that war brings to ordinary families in Iran, in Israel and across the region.
“Yet, if this painful moment becomes a turning point toward justice and true liberty, then my prayer is that it leads not to greater destruction, but to the restoration of dignity, hope and peace.
“As followers of Christ, we pray for the protection of the innocent, for restraint among leaders, and for a future where Iran and the region may know freedom without fear. May God bring light out of darkness and peace out of turmoil.”
Please join in prayer for peace, protection and a future characterised by light, hope and freedom for all.

As #BlackHistoryMonth draws to a close, I’m sharing a paper on African-American participation in global missions.
The Great Commission calls not only for proclamation to all nations, but representation from all nations within the sending Church.

Why should Christians care about orality?
80% of the world understands best through spoken word.
Only 756 of 7,396 languages have the full Bible.
Revelation 7:9 points to every language worshiping.
Mission must speak the language of the people.

Muslims around the world will spend this month fasting and praying from sunrise to sundown.
Ramadan is a time of deep spiritual focus—and searching. Pray that God would reveal Himself and bring true hope and salvation to those seeking.
