One thing I’ve noticed about younger people, including young queers, is their lack of ability to identify and comprehend subtext. They’re calling the scene where Frank N Furter seduces Janet and Brad dressed as Brad and Janet “rape”. Hello??? Did we watch the same movie? Like are y’all ok? I will gladly acknowledge that it’s icky when viewed through a modern lens… but it is NOT portrayed as or intended to represent rape. Due to the SUBTEXT!!!
