Only 29% of men recruited to the INTERVAL-GAP4 trial were meeting aerobic physical activity guidelines at baseline. Higher MVPA was associated with better aerobic capacity and walking performance but not maximal strength in men with metastatic prostate cancer on ADT.
This is a sub-study of our @MovemberAUS funded International trial (#INTERVALGAP4) of targeted exercise for men with metastatic prostate cancer. Great work from our collaborators at German Sports University - @Moritz_Schumann@staceykenfield@DrNicolasHart

After studying sports science at the University of Leipzig he was able to gain first hand practical experience while working with high level cross country skiers in Norway, where he also completed his PhD.
We welcome Jacob Walther as a member of the Sports Medicine and Sports Therapy professorship.
Jacob's expertise is in the field of high level endurance sports with a particular focus on cross-country skiing.
@MDPIOpenAccess Possibly because authors still submitting to MDPI (even though deemed predatory) do so to avoid a thorough peer-review? You may want to rather ask those that do no longer submit their workโฆ

NEW #SystematicReview ๐
๐ #KeyFindings
1๏ธโฃ Metformin exhibited greater efficacy than exercise in T2DM for glycaemic control ๐
2๏ธโฃ Exercise was more efficacious than metformin for prediabetes ๐ช
3๏ธโฃ Most efficacious exercise modalities for improving glucose metabolism were aerobic interval exercise and exercise regimens combining various modalities ๐โโ๏ธ

๐ Our new review identifies 6 challenges for wearables in sports and health:
1) Accuracy
2) Access
3) Safety
4) User engagement
5) Cybersecurity
6) Privacy
Tackling these is key to maximising their impact.
