I don't pretend to have the facts at hand. it seems though that people are confusing 2 issues especially re the 'claim to be' comment. There's a transgender issue but this is about the small percentage of people who are born 'intersex' sometimes with both genitalia. for me it's not about claiming or even identifying but purely what his/her diagnosis is medically

@The_Q_Bee @LoganPaul thanks for the update. this whole CAIS thing is a real minefield regarding sexuality. what i would say is that algerian woman has lost to plenty of women so equating 'her' with having male strength i'm not so sure of. anyway nice talking to you. i'm sure we'll find out more

i dunno. i'm gonna look more into it tomorrow. It still seems to me that both these women are being used as political pawns. At least at first the whole thing was presented in a very 'feel sorry for Carini' way. I do by the way because of what she said in her interview but on the other hand if these accusations of the Algerian as being trans gender are false then posting about it when she could come to real harm back in her country is at least irresponsible. X tends to get very black and white and most anything gets politicised. Im English by the way so have no idea how the US elections may be playing into the reaction. ie liberal vs conservative agenda. it's all probably much ado about nothing

The woman she fought was born a woman. She has hormonal inbalances that led her once to test 'negative' like quite a few women. The account that started the whole affair has apologised

@According2_Sam @WalshFreedom I'm Engish and lived in Spain for 10 years. Was I being 'UnEnglish'. Clinging onto outdated ideas of what a nationality is to me seems like a symptom of insecurity and somewhat bigoted. Maybe you prefer a nation of one colour and one religion
