Very few new clothes, no takeaways, no wine with dinner, no Costa, took a packed lunch & flask to work, walked/cycled everywhere. No holidays abroad We were married 7 years before we had a car.

@wils977 @LeilaniDowding Holiday parks dispose of older quite habitable caravans very cheaply. Why can’t these be put in a field? They wouldn’t need to all be connected to water/sewerage as a toilet/shower block could be installed as if they were for tents. Far better than a tent & cheaper than a hotel.
