Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday ordered INEC to deregister @ADCNig and 4 other parties.
Today, the same Justice Lifu fined ADC National Secretary Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the ADC N1 million while ruling on the application for him to recuse himself from the case.
Also today, the Court of Appeal stayed execution of the null judgment of Justice Lifu deregistering ADC, 4 other parties.
And while dishing out fines to Aregbesola and ADC, Justice Lifu said there's no evidence to suggest bias as alleged.
But between what happened on Monday and today, the bias Justice Lifu was looking for is visible even to the blind!

INEC Rejects Attempt to Deregister ADC and Other Political Parties
Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opposed a court case seeking to deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and four other political parties.
INEC stated that the request does not meet the constitutional and legal requirements for deregistration, emphasizing that political parties can only be deregistered under specific conditions provided by law.
Legal analysts believe INEC’s position significantly weakens the case, as the Commission is the constitutionally recognized regulator of political parties in Nigeria.
Many observers view the development as a major boost for democratic pluralism and opposition parties ahead of future elections.

I welcome the Court of Appeal's decision to stay the execution of the Federal High Court judgment seeking the deregistration of our great party, the ADC, and four other political parties. It is particularly significant that INEC itself initiated the application for the stay.
The disturbing spectacle of judicial contradictions and politically charged rulings playing out in our courts has placed the judiciary under intense public scrutiny. As ADC National Chairman, Sen. David Mark, rightly observed, the judiciary itself is now on trial.
Any attempt to undermine Nigeria's hard-won democracy through judicial manipulation is a grave danger to the Republic. If our democracy suffers further injury, history will demand accountability from those entrusted with dispensing justice. The judiciary still has an opportunity to redeem itself by standing firmly on the side of the Constitution, the rule of law, and the Nigerian people. -AA

I'm actually happy that the Lifu has been exposed as anti-opposition judge where people go to get anti opposition judgements. Big ups to Senator David Mark for doubling up on his conviction. Appeal Court has ordered stay of execution. All parties will be on the ballot!
