I think St Patrick’s day should be a day of reflection (with a good pint of Unionist Guinness, or three!) as we mourn the profound loss of the 26 breakaway counties of Southern Ireland. May they be united and whole once more under the Crown, as God intended.
Defacing a statue of by far the largest financial contributor to relief aid for those affected by the famine is a new level of stupid, even for these idiots.

What the photo actually shows is an Army patrol on a Belfast street in the 1980s and children playing in the street. The only thing being “resisted” here is the urge to stop inventing narratives.
But sure don’t let reality get in the way of a good caption.
