It was an extremely choppy day on the markets, exactly as we expected. Mondays, in most cases, serve more to establish the week’s trading range than to offer major trading opportunities.
Attention is now fully focused on the FOMC, this week’s key event. It is likely that, following a slower start to the trading session, volatility will begin to rise.
In that context, there’s no point in chasing the price; instead, we should capitalise on the deviations and scalps we’re familiar with, whilst waiting for confirmation and always maintaining strict risk management.
