there's an ideological aspect as mentioned in other replies, and that did motivate me to jump through hoops i might not have otherwise, but those are some of the ways it is actually practically better for me

@m1jaru certain hardware (audio interface, graphics tablet) Just Works in a way I never could get it to on windows

Generally better performing across the board, especially less prone to bloat/slowdown over time

@miziziziz I'm set up with davincibox atm and it was/is fairly painless (studio w/ NVIDIA card), took a bit of going off-road to get standalone fusion in the same container though
