@richarddeitsch Belgium is solid but they aren’t THAT good. They weren’t one of the top 10 teams in R16. Don’t forget they barely made it out of the group stage after draws with Iran and Egypt. Then it was a miracle they came back to beat Senegal in R32. This was not Mexico losing to England.
The sad thing is Belgium isn’t really that good of a team. They’re solid, but they had draws against Iran and Egypt and then blew out a lousy New Zealand in the group stage. They only beat Senegal with a miracle finish.
I’m getting the feeling the U.S. just isn’t a very good soccer country.
I think we could probably beat Belgium at the real kind of football though. Probably by a lot.
@jasonrmcintyre Here’s an example of an appeal from the 2022 World Cup. Croatia’s Mario Mandzukic appealed being sent off for telling the ref to “fuck off” in Italian. He appealed and lost. https://t.co/BwnkcPJuLy
@jasonrmcintyre Wow, no respect. From what I understand, it’s highly unlikely to be repealed. It’s mostly only repealed if they sent off the wrong player.
Absolutely ridiculous red card. It was completely an accident, he was just reaching to kick the ball. Yellow card, sure, but that would also knock out the guy who’s been the best player on the team for the next round too. #worldcup
I have no soul and even I find it sweet to see Serena’s daughter talking to her dad in the box while getting a chance to watch her mom play. #wimbledon
