Money isn’t free.
A company can obtain money from:
Equity (selling shares)

Each has a cost.
WACC combines both.
Example:
You need ₦100 million.
You raise

Investor expects 20% return.
Bank charges 10% interest.
Your WACC is
(60% × 20%) + (40% × 10%)
= 12% + 4%
= 16%
Meaning:
Every project you invest in should ideally earn more than 16%.

The moment your talking stage or babe references their ex two or three times while talking to you in a bid to make any sort of comparison, or even casually, that is your cue to leave them.
