South Africans don’t beg employers for basic dignity. We challenge them legally. That’s called a functioning labour system.

Call us lazy if you want but we’d rather stay and fight for better conditions in our own country than flee it. And while you’re mocking workers demanding fair treatment, remember South Africa’s minimum wage is several times higher than Nigeria’s.

Know the difference between workers’ rights and exploitation. Illegal immigrants you are talking about were being exploited and getting paid below minimum. They were treated like slaves and threatened with law enforcement if they don’t comply.
