@JeanLucMarches1 The inflation number you're thinking of is based off of how well the country is performing as a company. Essential Non-Discretionary Inflation reflects how that company is treating it's employees. We trail the US quite a bit in that number.

To get back to $100 from $60
% gain = ($40 / $60) ร 100 = 66.67%. Itโs an unsymmetric change. This is why losses hurt more than equivalent gains help.
