Tulsi will make us all proud!”
Our recent fact-finding mission identified numerous breaches of intl law by Aliyev's regime in its years-long campaign against the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Today, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and "warned that aggressive actions and rhetoric from any side will undermine the prospects for peace. The Secretary of State emphasized that there is no excuse for the increase in tension on the border."
#Washington took this important step to prevent an Azerbaijani attack provoked by #Russia ahead of the meeting of #Armenia, the #USA, and the #EU in Brussels on April 5. Azerbaijani media reports that the initiator of the phone call was the American side.
According to a statement from the US State Department "Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the importance of the bilateral relationship between the #USA and #Azerbaijan and highlighted the growth of partnership initiatives, including energy and climate priorities.
Secretary of State #Blinken and President #Aliyev discussed the importance of advancing the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which will benefit the entire region economically. The Secretary of State reiterated that there is no justification for the increase in tension at the border. He warned that aggressive actions and rhetoric from any side will undermine the prospects for peace.
The Secretary of State reaffirmed Azerbaijan's international obligations related to human rights and fundamental freedoms and the need to fulfil them. The Secretary of State called for the release of those unjustly detained" the statement from the State Department said.
The message from the US State Department provides important information about the telephone conversation. In fact, #US Secretary of State Blinken warned Aliyev that there should be no tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The USA also warned Azerbaijan about the inadmissibility of aggressive actions and rhetoric.
This is extremely important ahead of the April 5 meeting. A few days ago, Azerbaijan fired at the bases of the Armenian armed forces, making false claims about the accumulation of the Armenian armed forces.
Thanks to EU observers, the West learned that there is no accumulation of Armenian troops; Azerbaijan is slandering. Blinken is actually once again preventing the Russian-instigated Azerbaijani attack against Armenia.
According to Azerbaijan, Blinken received information that the tripartite meeting of the USA, the #EuropeanUnion, and Armenia on April 5 worries Azerbaijan, and he considered it important to clarify this issue with Aliyev.
According to the Azerbaijani side, Aliyev said that according to his information, decided issues such as military support to Armenia and conducting joint #military exercises, the creation of military infrastructures in the regions bordering Azerbaijan, and arming Armenia by the principle of the EU's European peace mechanism.
Aliyev blamed France for arming Armenia. He stated that the policy of Paris allegedly encourages an arms race in the region and will lead to provocations. Aliyev said that the tripartite meeting of the USA, the European Union, and Armenia scheduled for April 5 "was not prepared transparently, it isn't inclusive.
Aliyev noted that the meeting was not postponed, despite fair comments, which will not lead to peace and cooperation in the #SouthCaucasus, but to creating dividing lines and tension."
Blinken assured that the main essence of the mentioned meeting will be the economic development of Armenia, and it is not directed against Azerbaijan. Blinken and Aliyev discussed the peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Aliyev considered unfounded the statements that Azerbaijan intends to attack Armenia and emphasized that Azerbaijan is committed to the declaration adopted at the #Prague meeting in 2022 and the Alma-Ata declaration.
The President of Azerbaijan expressed his indignation regarding the statements of French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournay, during which the Minister stated that Azerbaijan threatens the territorial integrity of Armenia.
Aliyev said that the negotiations of foreign ministers on the text of the peace agreement in #Berlin "were useful in terms of advancing the process and that it is necessary to speed up the negotiations."
I have a question: If Azerbaijan does not intend to attack Armenia and wants to establish peace, then why does it not sign a peace treaty? Why does Azerbaijan present new demands, undermining the establishment of agreements? Why did Azerbaijan fail to hold meetings in the #West?
Why does Azerbaijan not recognize the territorial integrity of Armenia? Why does Azerbaijan not remove the troops from the territories occupied by Armenia?
Why does Azerbaijan demand Armenia to hand over four villages to it without presenting the map and the legal basis by which it considers these villages to be its own? The West no longer believes Aliyev's false peace-loving words.
It is a very correct decision by Washington to deepen cooperation with Armenia, parallel to the mediation in the #Armenian-#Azerbaijani process. I will analyze this topic in detail a little later.
