Bad news everyone. We will be temporarily closing Moss & Timber starting Saturday January 23rd. One of us has been directly exposed to family members with COVID, and out of an abundance of caution, We’re going to close the shop until we all get tested.

This will be a rough few days, and comes during one of our busiest seasons, but we have been very lucky to avoid it until now, and we don’t want to become a spreader in our community. We greatly appreciate all of the love and support you have shown us,

We’ve been working on a new backwall for the last few months and we’ve finally got it up just in time for our winter lighting schedule

If you’ve not been in to the shop during winter after about 5pm you might be unfamiliar with what I mean. You’ve just gotta come check it out 🤷‍♂️

@nicoledemke It can! It must be kept in lots of light, and live for many years to get that tall, but it definitely can.

A melocactus flower! Melocactus is a genus of cacti that, in order to save energy, creates a tall, dense stack of spines and fuzz exclusively to use as a flower/fruit factory! This one we’ve got for sale in the shop is just starting.
