For two years, the UN Security Council failed to adopt a CEASEFIRE resolution but now when it came to a US proposal to administer Gaza (occupy) by foreign forces, it passed very quickly.

This is a dark period in the history of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian people alone should administer their own affairs. And the occupation heeds to end.
The Palestinian people need to have their own army to protect themselves from the brutal occupation. The Palestinian people alone should rebuild their own lives.

The UN Security Council, if unconstrained by international law, is an instrument of repression and injustice. This is what we witnessed yesterday as the Council ignored the findings of the ICJ and turned the people of Gaza over to the co-perpetrators of the genocide. The veto has repeatedly been used in the Council to violate Palestinian rights. Yesterday, when it could have been used to protect Palestinian rights, it was nowhere to be found. The Security Council has lost all legitimacy.

A harrowing account from imprisoned Palestianin journalist Farah Abu Ayyash has emerged: Her lawyer, Hassan Abadi, who recently visited her in Damon Prison, said that what she shared was not just a legal testimony, but a direct, personal description of the severe abuse she has suffered since her arrest. In the letter conveyed through her lawyer, Farah recounts: “I experienced so many horrific things.
They arrested me in the middle of the night with dozens of soldiers, two female recruits, and numerous jeeps and police vehicles. I never imagined I would be targeted. They took me to Karmeh Tzur, tied me to a chair outside, next to a pipe dripping filthy water onto me.”
She continues describing the torture: “The female soldiers tightened the white plastic restraints on my wrist so hard that my artery swelled. An officer eventually cut them off with pliers. Dogs tore at my pants. Then they put me in solitary—just a room filled with electrical boxes. They pretended not to know I was a journalist. They forced me to unlock my phone… I work with complete transparency.”

Farah describes her transfer to the Russian Compound: “It was like a horror film. They shoved me inside with handcuffs, leg shackles, and a heavy chain on my shoulders. Nahshon officers beat me. A female soldier grabbed my hair, slammed my head into the wall, and ordered me to kiss the Israeli flag. I refused. She kicked me. I was sick.”

Her voice, she says, was shaking as she added: “In Ramla, they put me in an abandoned room and turned off the light. I screamed. Then they placed me in an underground cell infested with cockroaches, insects, and bedbugs. I cried all night. Cockroaches covered my face and body. The marks are still there.”

She explains that she was later taken back to the Russian Compound, fainted multiple times from the cold, and that the transport conditions were “extremely harsh and terrifying.” After 55 days, she was moved to Damon Prison.

Expressing her disappointment in her peers, she says: “I’m hurt by my fellow journalists. They didn’t create pressure or raise their voices for my release. I was arrested because of my work. I hope every free journalist hears me.”

Farah also sends words to her family, especially her mother: “I miss you so much… I tell the girls about the ma’amoul you make. My most cherished memories are the poems you wrote for me and how I used to recite them on the radio.”

🚛 Gaza NGOs coordinator, Eyad Amawi, tells Drop Site that the situation in Gaza remains one of genocide and “engineered suffering.” More than a month into the ceasefire, he says nothing has meaningfully improved: aid is still choked off, UNRWA is blocked from operating at full capacity, and only one tightly controlled crossing allows limited entry.

Here’s what to know:

⭕️ Thousands of trucks sit stranded while winter rain floods flimsy summer tents, leaving families soaked in rainwater and sewage as the shattered infrastructure collapses around them. Israel continues to ban basic equipment, including solar panels and batteries, under “dual-use” claims.

⭕️ Importantly, Amawi describes a parallel economic siege: bank accounts frozen, electronic wallets shut down, cash barred from entering, and worn bills rejected in markets.

⭕️ This, he says, is the deliberate “management of famine” along with a “management of the economic crisis,” allowing commercial trucks in while knowing people have no money to buy anything.

⭕️ The pressure, he believes, is meant to push Palestinians toward displacement while confining the population to a devastated western zone, as an Israeli-controlled “Green Zone” is rebuilt under Israeli security terms.

⭕️ He urges global pressure to open all crossing gates and restore UNRWA’s full capacity.

1. إيَّاكَ أن تألفَ مصاب أهلكَ في غزَّة ودمهم لم يجفَّ بعد، بل ما زال يُسفح كلَّ يومٍ على مرأى ومشهدٍ منَّا جميعاً!
إيَّاكَ أن ترى دماءهم ثم تتخطى المشهد كأنَّ هذا الشيء المسكوب ماء! الدَّمُ يبقى دماً ما دام له طُلاب ثأرٍ، فإن قعدَ أهله عن ثأره صار ماءً، وإنّي أُعيذكَ أن يغدو دمهم في عينيك ماءً!

2. إيَّاكَ أن ترى مشهد المنزل قد هُدمَ على رؤوس أهله ثم تتجاوزه وكأنَّه بيتٌ من رملٍ بناه طفلٌ على الشاطىء ثم جاء الموجُ وهدمه! ليس هذا كذاك، هنا عائلة، زوج وزوجة وأولاد، عشْ دوماً كأنَّ هذا البيت بيتك، وكأنَّ هؤلاء كلّهم أهلكَ!

3. إيَّاكَ أن يمرَّ بكَ خبر استشهاد الخمسين في يومٍ واحدٍ بارداً لأنك اعتدتَ على حرارة الرقم مئة! هؤلاء ليسوا أرقاماً، هؤلاء ناس كان لهم أحلام وطموح ومشاعر وأحباب، هؤلاء كانوا مثلي ومثلك فجعلتهم القذائف أشلاءً، ونشرات الأخبار أرقاماً، فلا تنسَ كيف كانوا قبل أن يُصبحوا خبراً عاجلاً على الشّاشة!

4. إيَّاكَ أن تملَّ من متابعة أخبارهم، هم لم يملُّوا بعد من تقديم أنفسهم وأحبابهم قرابين لله، مهراً للجنَّةِ، وثمناً للعِزَّةِ! فأيُّ عارٍ أكثر من أن يثبتَ المقتول أشلاءً ويسأم المتفرِّج!

5. إيَّاكَ أن ترجعَ إلى حياتكَ العادية وتتركهم، فهم لم يرجعوا بعد! فمُقَاتِلُهم ما زال في خندقه وجبهته، و مدنيُّهم إمَّا جائعاً خائفاً في بيته، أو مذلولاً في خيم النُّزوح!

5. إيَّاكَ أن تملَّ من المقاطعة فإنَّ السبب الذي لأجله قاطعتَ لم يزل قائماً، لا تدفع ثمن الأسلحة التي يُقتلون بها لأجل شهوة بطنٍ يمكنه أن يعتاضَ بغيرها!

6. إيَّاكَ أن تنسحبَ من الحدث كمن كان يُشاهد مسلسلاً طال ولم يعد يهتمّ ما ستكون نهايته، هذا مخاض أمة كاملة، نصرها نصرك، وعزُّها عزَّك، وإن تمكّن العدوُّ من غزَّة فإنَّكَ التالي!

7. إنِّي أُعيذكَ أن تغيبَ عن هذه المذبحة على الأقل بقلبك!
إني أعيذكَ أن تستطيب لقمةً وأطفالهم جوعى، وأن تأنس بسقفٍ فوق رأسكَ وهم في العراء!
إني أُعيذك أن تضع يدك على عينيك لأن المشهد دامٍ، وأن تضع يديك في أذنيك لأن صراخهم فيه وجع!
إني أُعيذكَ وأُعيذني وأُعيذنا أن يغدو مشهد موتهم مألوفاً!
