Just watched the Overlap Daily. The comments are absolutely scathing. Not a good look for Neville and Carragher. Carragher, especially. I wonder if this was planned before hand. Buy him out then get him out. The Goldbridge 1% possession comment did make me laugh though.
I’ve been pretty depressed this week. Constantly hearing about these fucking charges. On every medium going. But now I’m fully behind this club. Failed appeal or not. National League or not. It matters not. Bring back the inflatable bananas. CITEH! Up The Fucking Blues!
🚨 OFFICIAL: #ManCity have lodged their comprehensive appeal against the opinion of the Premier League Commission.
Manchester City statement in FULL:
“Manchester City Football Club can confirm that at 7pm on Thursday 1st October 2026 the Club lodged its comprehensive Appeal against the opinion of the Premier League Commission, in relation to the Premier League disciplinary matter.
“The Club’s firm position is that, on multiple grounds, the opinion contains clear material errors, of law, principle and fact and is unsafe.
“The Club is innocent of the accusations made by the Premier League and a comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence exists in support of all of its positions, relating to this case.
“We will continue to respect due process and are necessarily restricted in what we can say further until all proceedings are complete.”
🚨 Paul Gilroy (King's Counsel)
"They believe there's a legal argument that sits at the heart of this that they can use to torpedo the case" 👀
"I think with the appeal they will look to take it to the very top. They may get someone who's a Supreme Court judge"⚖️

Sources told ESPN club chiefs were initially made aware of the findings of the independent panel in July. It was followed by an aggressive approach in the summer transfer window, during which seven senior signings arrived at the Etihad Stadium at a cost of more than £450 million…

The verdict in the Premier League’s case against City has been made public and it is absolutely damning for City. It says the independent panel found that City concealed the true state of their accounts from auditors and governing bodies and artificially inflated revenues by more than £900m. City have until October 2 to appeal.
