@SeattleFire Very glad nobody was hurt!
Also, when the fire alarm rings in this building (which is frequently) it buzzes loudly on the roof and can be heard for several blocks in the residential neighborhood. None of the other buildings or schools nearby seem to do this.
@clhubes I wish I had that - When I was pregnant with my second I developed an aversion to plain water. All of the sudden I could barely get it down unless I mixed it with something. It sadly did not fade quickly after he was born.
@emilykmay Pajamas? My oldest only napped consistently at that age when I brought her home and put her in PJs for it. My youngest… did that thing you don’t want to talk about.
@DeanAstumian@DaHugnkiss@mhdksafa To me it’s about fear, you cant let the possibility of something bad happening stop you doing the things that are good and joyful.
@volodarik I just tried this on a specific weekend trip that I’ve been checking daily for over a week — it was at least 2x more in a private browser with cookies declined, compared to being signed in on the app.
So it does show different prices, but not always in the direction expected.
Nearly 40 southeast Seattle restaurants are participating in the 12th annual Plate of Nations event by offering set plates for $25 or $35 March 24-April 9. https://t.co/yHXOQLkn32
A lot of things that used to bring me joy don’t anymore. I’m grown and changed.
Letting go of them is still hard for me even when I know it’s time.
Today I’m trying to write down 5 things I need to let go of. Make it real.
@ShannonJCurtin We have several area codes on our family plan. The most recent addition is one that was seemingly randomly assigned, and matches none of the others on the plan *shrug*
@JenaFriedman I got hydrogel sheets from the hospital with my first. Totally amazing. I got some over the counter ones for my second, but they weren’t nearly as good as the cut-it-yourself sheet from the hospital. I think it was technically burn dressing, maybe.
Ok folks. It’s time we talked about eels.
I’m a geologist but I recently learnt about eels and… wow.
Since then, I’ve been greeting strangers with ‘DO YOU KNOW ABOUT EELS?!’
Well, consider yourself a stranger in my path.
Strap in. It’s a 🧵
1/so many
i want more "run errands with me" friends. no i do not want to spend $85 on a dinner to catch up. but i will go to costco and an estate sale with you and then some tacos
@rodhilton I just noticed that it is really bad today, maybe just because I’ve been on more looking for info about the teacher strike. But I can’t get away from it to find anything that anyone I actually know posted. I’ve resorted to just searching for my groups, and missing the rest.

@jules_hardee@clhubes I had this too, smelling natural gas all the time and from too far away, but hadn’t put it together as a pregnancy change until just now. But it makes sense, my first real pregnancy symptom was me being shocking overwhelmed by the smell of peppermint.
@amykaycannon @clhubes Oh! I forgot that one. While I was pregnant with my first, an eyelash grew in the middle of my eyelid. Cute, real cute.
And then — extra cute — it kept getting infected until it finally stayed away after a determined campaign of plucking and some minor eyelid surgery 😭
