@KimoriKaze@Light_88_ Perhaps. I see your argument and it’s valid. Just know I’m a Garchomp fanboy and just always wish for more for my homie. It’s the feels…
@CybertronVGC Dude, your content is easily the best there is. I’m half the trainer I am because of learning from you. It was awesome seeing you on the desk and providing insight! Hope to see you there more often!
This dad is a clown. Didn’t supervise his own child at an event with more than 50,000 people, let alone allowed him to walk around with a $1,200. Eric, you’re pathetic. I’m glad your son got his card back, but I hope this teaches you to do better as a father.
UPDATE: WE GOT THE CARD BACK!!
Well, that was an unexpected and nice turn of events. What a rollercoaster of a weekend.
We were able to set up a meeting with the person my son dealt with at the Pokemon XP trading zone. It was an unpleasant confrontation, but at least the right thing got done, and we're grateful.
I realize that recovering my son's card wouldn't have been possible without the Pokemon community's amazing support. Special shout outs to @DeepPocketMnstr, @dyli_io, @nickabouzeid, @tim_liu@ScottPytlik, and countless others I should be naming here, but I'm exhausted.
We're so grateful, all of you, for your support.
I do wish to address those of you who heaped vitriol toward me and my son this weekend: I just want to reiterate that our only goal of sharing this story was to make a plea for adults to not take advantage of kids in these enthusiast communities. We never desired for clout in the Pokemon community; we don't desire to be Pokemon influencers; nor did we expect any gifts or free things.
Some of you have insisted in sending my son some things to compensate for his earlier loss. We're grateful. We will carefully inventory the value of all items shared with him, and our family commits to donating the equivalent cash to @StJude Children's Research Hospital, an organization we truly admire and support.
Thank you again. I'm so over all of this, and this will be my final comment on the matter.
God bless!
@MarionCero91656@Dexerto I am a history teacher, professor and esports coach, and protecting children is important to me and I know just how easily they can be taken advantage of, but I’m sorry, don’t cry on the internet because you didn’t supervise your child. Feel bad for the kid his dad is a crybaby.
@Light_88_ Genuinely hate the meta for the past two seasons, I know the game just released but it’s boring climbing masterball and seeing the same team over and over 😭
@Aerial_Fish@NYCMayor I was literally going to say that, he’s kicking it 40 years down the road 🤣 I can’t take the hypocrisy. I respect the initiative but don’t say it solves the problem when all it does is contribute to it.
@vceruleanv@playriftbound Because they don’t give a fuck lmao 🤣 look how riot handled Worlds tickets…. What a fucking joke of a company no wonder all of their games are dying. That’s why they’re entering TCG, it’s a money printer.
@EddieAllgood1@OtunbaSebotimo Where do you think they pull the source material from, dumbass? Of course the MCU isn’t the comics, but they pull most of the stories from the comics and adjust them for film. How about you go read something for once.
@EddieAllgood1@OtunbaSebotimo If you think this you’re a dumbass. The are full narratives of Secret Wars and God Emperor Doom. He steals the power of the Beyonders and literally becomes a god, with the intelligence equal to Reed Richards. If you think this is made up you don’t know Marvel.
