This is Dr Omer, The director of operations at the Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA).

Amidst the tragic war in Sudan, the surgeons and clinicians are continuing their mission of education from the new office in Port Sudan, a city on the western side of the country. Currently, they are planning on launching an educational echo program targeting residents in Port Sudan.

I will be supporting Dr Omer to join me in Burundi for two days next week to discuss establishing a Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery (VRiMS) #vrims training program and #XRhub in Sudan. #SAMA #Sudan

Can def relate to it personally. As I ended up taught at Med schl and later work as trainee with the same surgeon who save my life, as kid!

He is inspirational. But definitely he taught me, indirectly, from beginning that “surgeons are not born, they are made”.
