@DylanTGFN people on here love saying things like "Epic is inspiring for being a lightning rod for criticism in the gaming community" and i just Don't Care Dude i'm not here to be a number in Tim Sweeney's grand video game industry pioneering escapade against Apple and Google
When will this community finally start pushing back on Tim Sweeney and demanding his resignation? HOW MANY MORE STUPID DECISIONS does he have to make for this community to finally start doing something?
Tim Sweeney is RUINING Epic Games & Fortnite as a whole. He has caused nothing but CONSTANT problems for this game & the company in recent years. He NEEDS to go.
Due to his stupidity, 1000+ employees were laid off because of overpaying UEFN creators three years ago. Now it's just happened again. 2000+ employees over the course of three years were laid off because Tim Sweeney is overpaying UEFN creators and making stupid financial decisions. And the majority of that money went to AI BRAINROT SLOP MAPS.
I am outraged at Tim Sweeney and absolutely heartbroken for all the employees that were laid off today. NONE OF THEM deserved that.
Tim Sweeney rushing and pushing the metaverse & UEFN in the first place is what led to this game having a low period for a while and now after all the damage this idiot has done, he's finally realized that none of it was worth it.
We need to all start taking action and using our voices against Sweeney, because the future of this game depends on it. If we keep letting him get away with all of this and not retaliate, then everything will go downhill and it will likely be worse than before.
how awesome is it that tim sweeney constantly complains and whines about the 70/30 cut on steam, deflects when people bring up the valid reasons for that cut, and then goes back and uses a product thats a result of that cut.
valve doesnt just throw that 30% they take from sales into random bs like tims doing with shifting epic into a full vibecoded future; valve reinvest that money into new projects that will directly benefit its users.
protons entire existence comes from valve seeing a big want for linux gaming so they spend that 30% they take from sales to invest in research in programming to make it better. all while tim sweeney sits in his office and whines on twitter all day about "but muh company takes less from devs so you should buy on our platform instead" meanwhile they have to resort to vibe coding to make the epic games launcher "better"
