Honestly, I think Twitter is one of the worst places to put your marriage or relationship out there. The kind of things I’ve seen people say to couples, especially the way trolls drag people over the smallest things, is actually crazy.

There’s this woman I admire so much, and I’ve never seen her post her husband. Not even once. You don’t know her husband, you don’t know what he looks like, and you know absolutely nothing about their marriage. If you want to drag her, drag her. You don’t have access to her husband or their private life, so there’s only so much you can say.

This is why I believe some things should be kept private. Look at how people drag women because of what they wear, how they look, or something their husbands do. People who can’t even look you in the face and say half of the things they type online suddenly have so much to say because they’re hiding behind a screen.

Imagine somebody posting a picture in a dress, and suddenly everybody has an opinion about her body, her marriage and her husband. Some of these people wouldn’t even have the guts to talk to you like that in real life.

You don’t have to post your relationship online. Even if you choose to post once in a while, that’s fine, but just know that not everybody watching you is happy for you.

Protect your relationship, protect your partner, and keep some things to yourself. Everybody doesn’t need access to your private life. Because the way some people behave on this app, you’ll understand why some couples prefer to stay completely private. Honestly, Twitter can be so toxic.
