Dix mois après avoir annoncé le passage à une CAN organisée tous les quatre ans, la Confédération africaine de football (CAF) pourrait revoir sa décision.

Les 54 associations membres devraient discuter d’un éventuel retour au cycle traditionnel de deux ans lors la conférence stratégique prévue en ce moment au Cap-Vert.

Une décision importante pour l'avenir des sélections Africaines et aussi des supporters qui sont habitués à vivre régulièrement cette grande messe du football continental.

L'annonce a été faite au cours d'une conférence stratégique de la CAF qui se déroule au Cap-Vert.
