Dear Entrepreneur,
If you ever decide to employ someone, there are a few things I want you to know. Employees are also entrepreneurs like you, and they are in the business of selling time. Don't tell me that an entrepreneur is someone who solves a problem, because you employ someone when you have a shortage of labour, and that's the problem they are solving.
They are selling their time for the maximum possible return, and they should be prioritised like any other service providers. This means that, the same way you can't go for two months without paying rent, try not to do the same with salaries. Occasionally we might say that we want people who are passionate about the work they do and who are committed to the vision and ndizvo asi commitment starts with the employer.
Well, let's take an example of that one client who pays for services four months in advance and is one of your biggest customers - you value them greatly because they're crucial to your business. If you have a service provider who supplies you with credit, you value them too, and you always try and keep them happy. I have worked in some of the biggest FMCG companies in the world, and their policy is always to make sure the employee is as happy as they would want their clients to be.
So, if you think of employing someone, be willing to sell even the smallest asset to pay for salaries. Never expect them to understand how bad your business is performing as long as they are doing their job well. Your business is always trying to cut on operational costs but always remember, your operational costs are someone else's revenue. Iyoyo salaries yamurikuda kucutter ndiyo total revenue irikuda kucover fees, rentals and food. So don't expect employees to smile kana pakaipa because they just like you carry them as a burden, vanewo mitoro kumba kwavo.
Even you, when given a job, do your very best because employers are buying your time. So, as a business owner selling time, do unto employers what you want them to do unto you. Kwete kuita sabotage, overdeliver if you have to.
Since we have agreed that both employer and employee are in business, let's not expect sacrifices. If it happens, then that's a bonus, but it's your business. If you pay your service providers well, they will do everything they can to provide exceptional services.
If I have stepped on your toes, don't shout at me because maybe you were standing in the way. I am just a futuristic messengerβ³, arguably the only person who speaks their mind unapologetically and still sleeps well at night.

Harsh Reality Of A Ghetto Kid
5 - 16yrs: Grows up in poverty, parents encouraging him to focus on school, after all "education is the key"
16 - 18yrs: Works extremely hard to pass & he does, so he can go to university. He is very happy, a degree will go a long way in transforming his & family's fortunes
22yrs: On work related learning/attachment. At this stage, he begins to realise something isn't right, he had to struggle to find attachment. And on top of that he's being paid a mere allowance (in some cases nothing)
24yrs: Finally a graduate. At this stage, he's still hopeful, starts printing & sending CVs to every company/organization, that fits with his area of study
26yrs: Still no job. At this stage, depression starts creeping in, the pressure to be a somebody in life is so immense. If one fails to properly handle it, that's when he gets consumed by drugs or alcohol
28yrs: Yes, still no job. At this stage, one throws away their certificates, starts asking for any links to any kind of job or hustle. You just want to move in your life, after all everyone around you seems to be cruising in life
29yrs: Fewer friends than you had in your early 20s. At this stage, it's not that your former friends cut you off, but you cut yourself off. Embarrased by the way your life has turned out. Can't relate with them anymore, your reality & theirs are now 2 worlds apart
30yrs: Probably working a shit job that has nothing to do with your degree or doing a hustle you don't even like, but hey you just want money in your pockets. To imagine all those years in varsity & you've been reduced to this
32yrs: The pressure to marry from the girlfriend, parents & society. The girlfriend, you've probably been dating her for a long long time, you can't blame her for pressuring you, women have a biological clock. Even if she's to dump you & marry another man, you'd understand, you're just not moving fast enough in life
34yrs: Now just another average person whose dreams got crushed by the harsh cruel society of ours. Feel betrayed by everyone & everything - yourself, your parents, the politicians etc. You laugh & get angry everytime you see, little kids in their uniforms going to school, falling for the same bs they gave you
But hey, this doesn't have to be your reality, never let life defeat you, continue to dream, there's no deadline to success. Appreciate where you are & those little wins. Appreciate every lesson, that life will throw at you & never throw in the towel. Life is hard, just gotta be harder. Learn OR perish!!!
Medications are time-sensitive.
If medication is said to be taken twice a day, morning & evening, it means 12 hours apart e.g 8am & 8pm, not any time in the morning and anytime in the evening, once a day - e.g 8pm daily.
That consistency, taking medications same time each day is very important, it ensures the right amount of the medication is in a your body at any given time, thus maximizing effectiveness and minimizing side effects.
