If what you're doing isn't working-change.
Don't sit with it. Acknowledge what's going wrong and what works and make those necessary changes.
Change is uncomfortable, but so is knowing what you're doing is setting you up for failure.
Celebrate your victories. Celebrate the small wins. Celebrate moving forward beyond immense struggle. Celebrate change and embrace growth. Celebrate yourself.
Celebrate these things because no one else is expected to do it for you
If this week wasn't as productive as you hoped, belittling yourself won't make it better.
Try reflecting on what went wrong, acknowledging where you need to improve, and restarting next week with a new mindset and methods to help yourself.
I hope that whenever you get the chance to choose, you choose to evolve. To overcome every challenge, to listen to what you need and don't, and finally find the strength and courage that you've had all along.
There's something beautiful waiting for you beyond comfortability.
Something I always have to remind myself of in any conversation:
Are they asking for my advice or needing me to listen?
Most of the time it's the latter, someone to just be there for them in whatever season they are in. Remember that ❤️
Self-growth really becomes clear when your work, the space you take up, and who you are as a person is too damn important than what others will think or say about you.
Your self-growth is determined based on you & your perception of yourself, without any external influence.
Changing your body will not improve a negative body image.
Focusing on your mindset, self-care, the words you use + allow others to use toward you, & separating your worth from your appearance will.
It takes less effort to be kind to a complete stranger online compared to those closest to you.
We need to make a conscious effort to be kind to people on and off the internet. Who you show up on and off the internet is who you become.
I hope you choose kindness.
▪️Stop▪️ being guided by the pressure to fit in, to post, to create, to change your body, to say yes, to please everyone...
& ✨Start✨ being guided by what feels best for you, without worrying about what others will say or think.
Not everyone will care about your success or your goals. Not everyone will celebrate your wins with you.
Not everyone will be proud of you.
So do it for yourself,
Celebrate even the smallest wins,
& be damn proud of how far you've made it.
Not all women are your enemy.
Not all women are judging and criticizing you.
Change the narrative placed on women's relationships and start celebrating all the women around you (yes, even on social media). There is so much to be gained when women empower each other.
It's okay to follow someone, but not believe or agree with everything they believe or post on.
You are just as diverse as they are, so stop believing that if you or someone follows something that they are not allowed to process it and make it their own.
People will love you or hate you for doing the exact same thing.
So choose
*what will make YOU happy,
*what and who matters most to YOU,
*goals that represent your highest self,
*& let go of trying to please everyone.
You are so much more than what others think of you.
If you're struggling with what the Universe is offering you right now, please know that nothing in life is stagnant. Keep working towards reaching your highest potential. You'll meet your greatest version of yourself soon.
Be brutally honest with yourself before following any diet/exercise plan. Ask yourself the important questions, pay attention to negative/positive feedback, and ensure this is a plan that can work FOR YOU (not against for the sake of results).
You matter in any journey.
No, you don't have to follow that diet, program, dating app, social media 'influencer', or news just because it is something everyone else is doing.
Shift your thinking.
Go against the norm.
& be aware of the thoughts, patterns, and actions that negatively impact you.
and maybe, just maybe, when you start putting up the necessary boundaries you will realize that you don't have to fall into the trap of what 'others think and do'.
What others think and do has nothing to do with you.
*READ THAT AGAIN*
It's not about saying 'this is going to be a great year', it's about knowing that YOU can make things better for yourself (keyword here) by focusing on the people, things, and goals that matter most to YOU.
*project more positivity into your self-reflection.
